While Apple’s iOS8 makes picture recovery a breeze, you’ll still need a third-party tool to get back images that you accidentally erased from your Android phone or memory card.

This tutorial will show you how to retrieve lost images from any mobile device, including iPhones and Android phones.

Remember : that it’s safest to wait to use your device until the data is retrieved after deleting images or other information. When you remove an image from your computer, it does not really erase it; rather, it makes room for new data. Then, taking pictures or doing any other action on your smartphone might overwrite the space with fresh data, rendering the deleted data unrecoverable.

Recovering accidentally erased images is a breeze with Apple’s newest operating system.

1 Step: Navigate to the albums on your Photos app.

2 Step: Find “Recently Deleted” at the very bottom of the page and touch on it.

3 step: Everything you’ve erased from your picture library in the last 30 days will be in that folder. All you have to do to retrieve a picture is touch it and then hit “Recover.” You may also choose to permanently remove the picture by using the “Delete” button.

Important Reminder:

Using a third-party photo recovery program or restoring your phone from an iTunes backup are your only options if the photograph you need is more than 30 days old.

If your phone has an SD card, these tools should be able to scan it for data. However, if you’d rather merely scan the card, you may use picture recovery software designed for memory cards.
